Gabrielle “Gaby” Gold, a native New Yorker, is a mighty morphing power mama.  Married to wonderful Steve Anderson, Jr. and proud momma to amazing Chase Samuel, Gaby is a creative phenom.  As a singer/actor/dancer, she has graced the stages of Broadway, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Her performing career began at age three as a dancer at The Joffrey Ballet School.  As a child, she was featured on The Merv Griffin Show and As The World Turns.  A natural orator, she was selected to deliver her High School graduation address in the General Assembly Hall of The United Nations.

Gaby performed and studied varied dance genres throughout high school and college. This foundation served her well as a Musical Theatre performer.  Favorite roles in New York, Summer Stock and Regional theatres include Marisol in Born to Rumba! Velma Kelly in Chicago, Sister Robert Anne in Nunsense !I and Nunsense Jamboree  (directed by the show’s creator, Danny Goggin) and Star-to-Be in Annie.  As a Theatre for Young Audiences performer, she traveled to Tokyo, Japan and throughout the U.S with The Paper Bag Players. She was Bow the Panda for the Little Orchestra Society of Lincoln Center in several shows that taught children about the four families of the orchestra.

A gifted voiceover artist, Gaby has voiced over 70 voiceover commercials, video games and public service announcements  on the radio, television and the internet.  Clients include McDonald’s, Time Warner Cable, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Eight O’Clock Coffee and Colgate.

Her work as a writer and songwriter has been performed at BMI, Symphony Space, The Duplex, Prospect Theatre Company, Stage Left Studio and the Laurie Beechman Theatre. She wrote the radio play Powergirls and the Brothers Evil for the Paley Center’s Re-creating Radio Program. A World in Harmony, an interactive musical show about acceptance which she co-wrote and performed with Joy Kelly, toured schools in the tri-state area. Gaby cherishes the experience of having produced a benefit featuring her original sketches and lyrics in collaboration with various various composers to raise money and awareness for children of war in Uganda.

Gaby is currently collaborating with 12-time Grammy Award winner Paquito D’Rivera on a moving and humorous musical about playwright and actor Jay Alvarez’s family’s exodus from Cuba over 50 years ago.

Credits and Awards: Gaby received her B.A. in Government & Philosophy from Skidmore College.  She earned her M.A.  in Educational Theatre from NYU. She is certified to teach Drama to Kindergarten-12th Graders in New York State and taught 7th Grade Drama at The Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Education, a public school in the Bronx, as well as served as a long-term substitute teacher in Elementary schools in NYC.   She has been a Teaching Artist for LEAP, Princeton University’s McArthur Theatre and the Periwinkle Theatre.  She is an Alumna of BMI’s Musical Theatre Writing Workshop. Gaby won awards for Best Lyrics and Best Song for the musical Face to Facebook in the 2012 West Village Musical Theatre Festival.
