Learning as I go!

So…I have had some great auditions in the last week! Three were sent in via mp3, one with a Casting Director held at Phantom Audio and one in my agency’s office. Without revealing brands, one was for a tooth whitener, one for a pharmacy, one for a car, one for a shoe chain and one for a new show on a popular music TV station. Exciting! Some things I learned that are rudimentary but were of help to me: I learned not to pose the brand name as a question, that you only slate once before an A,B, C take and also that my instincts may not always jibe with what they are looking for so one must be flexible. Oh, and always do whatever research you can, which is so easy nowadays with the internet and all. I also wrapped my first audiobook! Phew!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope to book soon!

Starting Out Fresh

Hi!!!!! Welcome to my blog world. This blog is a place for me to touch base regarding my voiceover career here in NYC. Just last week, I was signed by Access Talent and I am very excited to be diving into a fresh new phase in my voiceover life. After nearly 3 years with a national Production House, where I learned so much and recorded about 60 TV and radio commercials- as well as non-broadcast VO work- I am ready and excited to be represented by a talent agency. Linda Weaver and Chas Cowing at Access are very down to earth and positive. Just the supportive environment that I seek. I am looking to coach aspiring voiceover actors and have a new mic and pop filter that I can bring to you, so please reach out if you are interested. I’m open to bartering and my rates are reasonable. I’ll touch base when I go on my first audition through Access!
